I ordered a glossy poster for a research presentation and it turned out fantastic. It was delivered to the hotel in pristine condition! I also had a separate order on the matte poster, this one also turned out fantastic as well. The only con the Glossy Paper is that when viewed in a certain light, there is a glare that may not be beneficial in judging. The matte poster doesn't have that issue, but to me, the aesthetics of the poster do not 'pop' as they do in gloss (part of the judging requirements what color, organization and over all aesthetics).
